A Bradford City fan has been given a three year football banning order over his actions during a disturbance involving Bradford City and Huddersfield Town fans.

Jack Wood, 18, of Jer Lane, Bradford, was part of a disturbance involving rival fans outside the Bradford Arms pub, on Manningham Lane, ahead of the two sides’ match on 13 September 2025.

Wood jumped a cordon and charged towards opposition fans whilst swearing and being abusive.

He caused harassment, alarm and distress while members of the public, including children and vulnerable people were present.

Police had already warned him about his behaviour after he was seen swearing beforehand.

Wood pleaded guilty to an offence under Section 5 of the Public Order Act.

He appeared in Bradford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday and was ordered to pay a total of £365 in fines.

Chief Inspector Mark Gamlyn, who led the policing operation at the match, said: “Loutish criminal behaviour such as this is completely unacceptable and causes unnecessary distress and upset to those who have to witness it.

“We know the vast majority of fans, particularly families and children, don’t want to experience this when they set out to see their teams play.

“We will always treat incidents like this seriously and we hope the lengthy banning order resulting from this latest prosecution will send a clear message.”
