Appeal for alleged computer theft at York University

An appeal for information to identify a man and woman, who allegedly stole several bags and computers from York University, has been released by North Yorkshire Police.

CCTV footage shows the two suspects entering the JB Morell Library in Heslington at 5.30pm on Tuesday 30 September 2025.

Police report that students’ bags, containing ID cards, were stolen, allowing access to steal several laptops worth around £700 each.
