Police appeal following double burglary in Huddersfield
15 October 2025

West Yorkshire Police are appealing for information after two houses were broken into in Huddersfield.

The incidents, which police believe are connected, took place on 7 October at houses on Taylor Hill and Vermont Close in the Scapegoat Hill area of Huddersfield. The break ins are believed to have taken place between 1:10pm and 9:30pm and 8:30am and 11:30pm respectively.

Electrical devices and a small amount of cash was taken from the property on Taylor Hill, and nothing was stolen from the house on Vermont close.

Due to the proximity of the addresses and the timeframe of the break ins, detectives believe that the burgalries are connected. CCTV and Ring doorbell footage is being analysed, and efforts are being made to identify a blue Transit van that may be linked to the suspect(s).

Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Kirklees District Crime Team on 101 or use the live chat facility on the West Yorkshire Police website www.westyorkshire.police.uk/livechat quoting crime references 13250576571.
