Legendary Sheffield band Pulp will be holding a special pop-up event at Hallamshire Hotel on West Street this Friday to celebrate their induction into the Sheffield Walk of Fame.

The unveiling ceremony is scheduled for 2pm outside the Town Hall. Already inducted into the Walk of Fame include Sean Bean, Joe Cocker and Jessica Ennis-Hill.

Pulp will be taking over the Hallamshire Hotel on West Street for the day, with a quiz, karaoke and meet and greet with Candida Doyle and Nick Banks scheduled. Hallamshire Hotel was the site of Pulp’s first gig in August 1980.

Artwork and posters from the band’s archive will also be on display, as well as exclusive merchandise being available. Pulp previously held a pop up event in Manchester this August.

In a social media post, the band described the event as “a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness Pulp being honoured in their hometown,” and encourage people to “celebrate afterwards in the venue that they have played at the most number of times during their 46 year career.”

The current timings for the event are as follows:

12.00-13.00: Meet and Greet with Candida Doyle and Nick Banks

14.00: Induction ceremony

12.00-20.00: Pop Up Shop
