Mecca Bingo to host second event for Paws for a Cause

Mecca Bingo is set to host its second bingo event this Sunday to raise money and secure volunteers for Support Dogs.

This comes following the success of the first event, hosted on Saturday 6 December.

Julie Mellor, general manager at Mecca Bingo Sheffield, said: “We have decided to do a draw on Sunday for chocolates and Mecca vouchers with a suggested donation of £1.”

200 people are expected to attend the Christmas themed event, and all of the donations will go directly to Support Dogs.

She added: “Customers do not have to contribute to take part.”

Flyers and Support Dog magazines will be displayed on tables during the event, which will last from 11am to 5pm.

A stall will also be set up in the venue where attendees will be able to donate and find out more about how to help Support Dogs.

The 360Wire-backed campaign aims to raise £1,000 for 10 autistic children to meet their support dog for the first time, secure 15 sponsors for autism assistance dog Peggy, and recruit 10 puppy socialisers.
