Anton Du Beke backs Paws for a Cause Campaign

Best-selling author, acclaimed ballroom dancer and popular television personality Anton Du Beke has backed Paws for a Cause, a campaign supporting the charity Support Dogs.

Mr Du Beke, best known as the longest-serving professional dancer on BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing and now a celebrated judge on the programme, has enjoyed a three-decade career on stage and screen.

He said: “Supporting the Paws for a Cause campaign is a real pleasure.

“Since welcoming our two dogs, Fox and Trot, into the family, we have been reminded daily of the fun, comfort and companionship that dogs bring and they have a wonderful way of lifting spirits and bringing people together. “

Alongside dancing, he is a Sunday Times bestselling novelist, with his Buckingham Hotel series earning widespread praise for its warmth, wit and historical detail.

Mr Du Beke added:  “Support dogs do something remarkable, offering reassurance and confidence to those who rely on them.

“It is a joy to champion a campaign that shines a light on the incredible difference these dogs make.”

The 360Wire-backed campaign aims to raise £1,000 for ten autistic children to meet a support dog, secure fifteen sponsors for autism assistance dog Peggy and have ten people register interest as puppy socialisers.
