Low intensity tremors from an earthquake in Lancashire last night were recorded to have reached parts of Yorkshire.
The 3.4 magnitude earthquake happened at 11.23pm last night, 3 December, around 43km northeast of Blackpool and 3km east of Warton.
The majority of reported activity comes from within 20km of the epicentre, however some tremors did reach as far as Leeds and other areas of Yorkshire, according to some reports.

The website volcanodiscovery.com received over 1,200 user reports of the earthquake, with the first report arriving within 3 minutes of the quake.
Some residents that felt the full effects of the quake left comments online. One user who was 3.1km southwest of the epicentre wrote: “It felt like my whole house moved side to side and everything inside just shook…Very scary.”
