A pub in Sheffield raised £158 for Paw’s for a Cause through a pub quiz and Irish bingo.
As part of the citywide Pup Quiz Week, The Dog and Partridge pub located in Sheffield City Centre, hosted a dog-themed quiz by guessing the famous dogs from photos on 19 November.
The Pub donated 100% of their profits from the quiz, each person paying £1 to enter, to the campaign alongside half of their profits from Irish Bingo, which was £1 per group.
Pub owner Conor Smith said: “Charities like Support Dogs just embody what Sheffield is about, we’ve always been big fans of dogs, and Sheffield is just such a friendly and inclusive city.”
Patrons of the Pub also donated money to the donation bucket which was brought around to each table in the breaks of the Quiz.

Doug McClure, Quizmaster, said: “Support Dogs are fantastic, they do such great work, it’s just really helpful for people who struggle without them in different ways.
“It really means that everyone who needs that care manages to get that support, which is just amazing. Sheffield has always been a very open-hearted city, we’re very community oriented and charitable and it certainly was a nice busy quiz tonight!”
Over the coming weeks, Paws for a Cause plans to raise £1,000 to help 10 children with autism meet their support dogs, recruit 10 puppy socialisers, and encourage 15 people to sponsor autism assistance dog Peggy.
