A number of dog-friendly pubs across Sheffield are joining forces to raise money for Support Dogs’ campaign, Paws for a Cause, with a citywide Pup Quiz Week running from Monday 17th to Thursday 20th.
The initiative encourages pub-goers – and their four-legged companions – to take part in themed quizzes while supporting the charity’s work with autism assistance, seizure alert, and disability support dogs.
The Dog and Partridge, recently nominated as Best Dog Pub in Sheffield and previously crowned Sheffield’s Favourite Dog Friendly Pub in 2020, said they were delighted to be involved.
They said: “We’ve always been proud of being the ultimate dog-friendly pub. Our four-legged friends get treated like they’re part of the family here, with a biscuit and a cuddle readily available.
“We’re proud to do our bit to help such a wonderful charity as Support Dogs and the important work they do.”

All funds raised will go towards Support Dogs’ goal of securing £1,000 to allow ten autistic children to meet their future assistance dog – the first step in a partnership that could transform their independence, confidence, and daily life.
The Stags Head will also be taking part. James, a representative from the pub, said: “We are made up to raise awareness for such a great cause, especially when most (all!) of our favourite regulars are our four-legged friends!”
