The popular Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF) is returning in Bradford this Christmas, offering free festive clubs for children who receive benefit-related free school meals or who have special educational needs or disability (SEND).
From Monday 17 November, families can book places at more than 80 holiday clubs running throughout the Christmas break.
The HAF programme offers a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, sports sessions, pantomime trips, cinema outings and even ice skating.
Each session inclludes a healthy meal to help keep children active and well-nourished during the holidays.
Councillor Imran Khan, Portfolio Holder for Education, Employment and Skills, said: “The wonderful organisations we work with offer children the chance to stay active, eat well and enjoy themselves in a safe and welcoming environment.”
The winter programme follows the success of Summer HAF 2025, which supported more than 12,000 children across the district with a packed schedule of creative projects, outdoor adventures and day trips.
The programme is funded by the Department for Education, with bookings available via the Bradford Council website.
