Ninth suspect arrested in fatal Sheffield shooting investigation

South Yorkshire Police have made a ninth arrest in connection to a fatal shooting on Watery Street, Sheffield, as detectives continue their investigation.

The 32-year-old victim, Kassim Mohammed, was fatally shot on 30 September 2025 and nine people have already been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with his death.

The latest suspect, a 29-year-old man, was arrested yesterday on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, but has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Eight other individuals, seven men aged 18 to 35 and a 31-year-old woman, have also been bailed while the investigation proceeds.

Anyone with information or CCTV footage that could aid the investigation should call South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 1026 of 30 September 2025.
