Social media sensations Jacob and Harley Nelson, also known as the SpudBros, opened their new shop in Sheffield today at 1pm.

The new SpudBros Express Sheffield store is located at 14 Fargate, Sheffield City Centre, Sheffield S1 2HE and is open 7 days a week 11am to 8pm.

Over 200 people queued outside the new store ahead of its opening, including a few fans who camped overnight.

Announcing the launch on TikTok last week, Jacob Harley, one half of the Spudbros, said: We wanna share our blueprint across the UK with people who have the same values as us, which is great food, good vibes, and giving back. It is so exciting and we can’t wait to go.”

Originally from across the Pennines in Lancashire, the Spudbros’ history goes back to 1955 when the hot potato tram opened on Preston’s Flag Market.

The Spudbros went viral in 2021 after originally starting content creation for ‘a bit of fun’, and have now amassed over 4.8 million followers on TikTok, 1.2 million YouTube subscribers and one million followers on Instagram.

In 2024 the two brothers created a new brand, SpudBros Express, with the view of expanding into diffeent locations across the country via franchising. Two shops have already opened in Liverpool and London, with more to be announced soon.

In July 2025 it was announced that the Spudbros would become the new shirt sponsors for their hometown club Preston North End, who compete alongside Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday in the EFL Championship.

Alongside this, they have collaberated with some of the world’s biggest stars, including Will Smith, Glen Powell, Liam Neeson and Youtubers Mr Beast and the Sidemen.
