Witnesses urged to come forward following death of pedestrian in Sheffield

South Yorkshire Police are appealing for information, footage or witnesses after a lorry collided with a pedestrian in the Stocksbridge area of Sheffield.

At 12:11am today, officers responded to reports of a collision involving a white Iveco lorry and a pedestrian at the junction of Manchester Road and Johnson Street.

The pedestrian, a 63-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene and his family have been informed.

The lorry driver remained at the scene and is assisting officers with the investigation.
