Sheffield Teaching Hospitals (STH) has been shortlisted for two National Inclusivity Awards for their approach to building an inclusive workplace.
The ENEI Excellence in Inclusivity Awards celebrate organisations like STH, and has named The Trust as a finalist in both the ‘Employee Network Group of the Year’ and ‘Diversity, Equality & Inclusion Influencer of the Year’ categories.
Kirsten Major, Chief Executive at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted in two categories.
“Our aim is to have a workforce that fully reflects the communities we serve and a workplace culture where everyone feels valued and is treated with fairness and respect.
“This recognition reflects the dedication of our staff, inclusion networks, and individuals who continue to champion equality, diversity, and inclusion across all areas of our Trust.”
STH’s LGBTQ+ Staff Network Group was shortlisted for the Employee Network Group of the Year award.
The award recognises employee network groups that have demonstrated exceptional contributions to advancing diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) within their organisations.
Rachel Salmon, Senior Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager was nominated for the DEI Influencer of the year category, a personal recognition of an individual distinguished for their influential role.
Rachel said: “As someone who is very proud to work in the EDI field, this award recognises work that I’m deeply passionate about and will continue to champion.
“It is extremely rewarding to work together with EDI Team to work towards the Trust’s vision to create a culture of inclusion and this award recognises the work that we have all done to achieve this aim.”
The winners will be announced at the official ENEI Excellence in Inclusivity Awards ceremony set to take place this month.
