Convicted criminal, Dean Noble, continues to be wanted by South Yorkshire Police after failing to present himself to begin a custodial sentence.

Noble, 33, of Worsbrough, Barnsley, left three people with serious injuries after violently attacking them at an address in May 2021.

He pleaded guilty to two counts of Section 18 assault and one count of Section 47 assault at Sheffield Crown Court in July 2025, and received a two-year suspended sentence.

However, following an appeal by police under the Unduly Lenient Sentence scheme, that sentence was quashed at the Court of Appeal, meaning Noble received a new sentence of nine years imprisonment.

He has since evaded police, and despite an ongoing public appeal to locate him earlier this month, he is yet to be found.

Officers involved in the investigation have targeted vehicles linked to him, and they have issued harbouring notices to three individuals who are suspected of helping Noble evade arrest.

They state that harbouring a wanted person is a criminal offence, and those who do so could face prosecution.

Noble is described as a white man, of average build, with short, black build.

He is known to sometimes work as a scaffolder and has been employed across South Yorkshire. He is also known to frequent the Dodworth and Worsbrough areas of Barnsley.

If seen, police advise to dial 999 immediately. Any information on his past or present whereabouts can be reported by calling 101, quoting the investigation number 14/77597/21.
