UPDATE: Two more arrested in investigation into fatal Sheffield shooting
31 October 2025

Two further arrests have been made as police enquiries continue into the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Kassim Mohammed in Sheffield last month.

An 18-year-old man was arrested on Thursday 30 October on suspicion of murder, following the earlier arrest of a 30-year-old man on Tuesday 28 October.

Both have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Six other people were previously arrested on suspicion of murder and remain on bail.

Kassim, aged 32, was fatally shot on Watery Street in Sheffield on 30 September, and a murder investigation was immediately launched.

Detectives are continuing to appeal for information from the public as the investigation progresses and are particularly keen to hear from anyone with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage from the area around the time of the shooting.
