Rotherham cannabis farmer jailed

A Rotherham cannabis farmer who attempted to run away from the police whilst being arrested has been jailed for one year.

Xhevair Sheme, 25, attempted to run away from the police officers who were investigating at an address on Henley Grove Road on July 16 2025.

Sheme was subsequently caught, arrested, and charged in connection to a cannabis farm which was discovered by an electrician on New Loxley Road, Sheffield.

Sheme initiallly refused to answer police questions about the cannabis farm but ultimately pleaded guilty to two counts of producing a Class B drug, and was jailed for 12 months.
