As National Hate Crime Awareness Week 2025 begins, South Yorkshire Police are renewing their commitment to tackling hate crime in all forms.
This week South Yorkshire Police are working with partner agencies across the area to encourage anyone who is, or has been, a victim of a hate crime to report it.
By reporting a hate crime it enables South Yorkshire Police to support the victim, fully investigate, and work with others to prevent future incidents.
Inspector Rebecca Richardson said: “We know that hate crimes often go unreported so I want to make clear that we will listen to you. I want to encourage anyone who is a victim of hate crime that we will investigate all reports and do our best to bring offenders to justice.”
You can report a hate crime online by following this link: How to report hate crime | South Yorkshire Police
