Woman in critical condition after falling from moving car in Sheffield

A woman is in critical condition after she reportedly fell from a moving car in the Chapeltown area of Sheffield early this morning.

Emergency services were called to Burncross Road at 6.32 am, following reports of a road traffic incident at Burncross Road, Sheffield.

It is reported that a woman in her 30s fell from a moving car and suffered life-threatening injuries.

The woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where she remains in a critical condition

The South Yorkshire Police confirmed that a 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody.

Officers have not yet revealed the relationship between the two individuals or the circumstances leading up to the accident.

A road closure remains in place on Burncross Road from Fiveways Convenience Store to the Wharncliffe Arms while emergency services remain at the scene.
