Two men have been charged with kidnap after a violent incident in Harrogate on 7 October.

One man, 28, has been charged with kidnap and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Another man, 24, has been charged with kidnap and motoring offences.

They are due to appear in York Magistrates’ Court today.

The incident in question happened in Jennyfield, Harrogate.

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Wilkinson, of North Yorkshire Police, said: “I’m very grateful to the members of the public who came forward with information to assist our investigation into this incident.”
